Viticulture

Garnacha Peluda and Picapoll Blanca come from plots trained in bush and trellis vines, respectively, located near Els Guiamets, in the Baix Priorat region. The vines are planted in calcareous soils with clays, dolomites, and nodules formed by gypsum, sand, and flint, which provide a strong minerality. Vineyards with an average age of 32 to 72 years.

Production

Direct pressing. Fermentation with skins in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation and ageing for 5 months on lees in 500L second-use acacia barrels with periodic stirring. Native yeasts. Vinified and bottled on the property. Rested for 8 months in the bottle before release.

Tasting Notes

Clean and bright orangey-pink color, with vivid hues thanks to its aging in acacia barrels. The nose is intense and sweet, rich in floral aromas and red fruit. The palate is dry, fresh, and flavorful, with a balanced acidity and body, and a long finish.
