Production

Hand harvested. Direct pressing. Fermentation with skins in stainless steel tanks. Aging for 12 months on lees in 500L second-use French Allier oak barrels, with periodic stirring for 45 days. Native yeasts. Clarification and stabilization. Vinified and bottled on the property, it rests in the bottle for 15 months before being released.

Tasting Notes

Medium-intensity ruby color. Its aromas evoke notes of ripe black fruit surrounded by a complex background of eucalyptus and mint, as well as red fruit and chocolate. This is an intense wine with medium tannins, flavorful, balanced, and long. Its acidity balances the alcohol content, providing a good body on the palate.

Creative Concept

Negre de Nit embodies the enigma of the Mediterranean night over the vineyards. This red wine reflects the moment when the senses, deprived of sight, sharpen to perceive the invisible. Figuerola captures this nocturnal sensorial intensification in a design that invites us to discover hidden layers of meaning, just as the night reveals stars as the darkness intensifies.

Design and Visual Identity The Negre de Nit label, a sublime expression by Borja Figuerola, uses deep tones with sparkles that evoke the night sky over the Guiamets region of Tarragona. The graphic elements seem to emerge from the darkness, gradually revealing themselves to the observer as the senses adapt to the dimness. Its visual presence combines sobriety and depth, creating an object as hypnotic as the starry sky.

Storytelling and Time Negre de Nit tells the story of transformation and revelation that occurs under the cover of night in the vineyards of Tarragona. During the night, when temperatures drop, the vines undergo processes crucial to the development of aromatic complexity. This wine captures that moment of silent evolution, when the essential occurs, invisible to the eye but decisive for the wine's final character.

Sensory Experience The Negre de Nit experience invites you on a sensorial journey that unfolds like the night itself. Its initially reserved aromas develop progressively, revealing layers of complexity that reward the taster's patience. On the palate, it presents a structure that evokes the depth of the Mediterranean night sky: unfathomable yet comforting, mysterious yet intimately familiar. A wine for moments of introspection and meaningful conversations. Perfect for evenings where time expands and words take on greater weight. It invites personal contemplation and shared time with loved ones, when social barriers dissolve like shadows in the darkness and authenticity emerges in human relationships.
