ANTIGVA Grand Reserve

Varieties
50% Xarel·lo, 30% Parellada, 20% Macabeo
Viticulture
Macabeo, Parellada, and Xarel·lo come from the El Beset estate, located near the municipality of Torrelles de Foix, in the Alt Penedès region. The soil is calcareous, clayey loam, and deep, with good water retention. The vineyards whose grapes are used to make this Gran Reserva have an average age of 40 years.
Production
Traditional Method. Separate fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. To preserve its quality, we produce a free-run must with character and a differentiated typicity. Second fermentation in the bottle with selected yeasts, followed by aging on lees for 60 months, developing complexity and maintaining its freshness. After disgorging, we add a small portion of our free-run must to give it its distinctive seal.
Tasting Notes
It has a clean and elegant appearance. Pale in colour with light golden highlights and fine bubbles that form a well-defined crown. The nose is dominated by notes of ageing, white fruit, and pastries. It is distinguished, with great structure, character, and elegance. The long, broad aftertaste leaves a great sensation of freshness and flavour.
